Victims of the Sunday attack in Adama Gindin Dutse community, Doka, in Kufana District of Kajuru LGA, Kaduna State, were laid to rest in a mass burial due to the extent of their burns, rendering them unrecognizable,Daily Trust reports.
Survivors of the ordeal recounted the harrowing experience, detailing how the assailants killed and subsequently incinerated their victims. Daily Trust reported the bandit invasion on Monday, highlighting the early morning assault at around 6 am, during which villagers were slaughtered and their homes set ablaze.
Some survivors shared their escape stories with Agon Kufana, Mr. Titus Dauda, and the LGA Chairman during their visit on Monday, describing the attack as horrific. Pastor Anthony Peter lamented the devastating impact, stating, “They came to obliterate the community completely with the brutal killings and burning of bodies.”

He appealed to Governor Uba Sani for increased security presence in the area and requested food aid for the affected villagers.
Yona Yunusa, a local vigilante who lost his father in the attack, recounted seeking refuge in an animal hut to make distress calls, which prompted a swift response from the military, causing the bandits to retreat.
The state government, represented by Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan, swiftly condemned the assault on Sunday, directing the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide necessary assistance to the victims.
