In collaboration with the Gender Mobile Initiative (GMI), students from various Nigerian tertiary institutions have offered a symbolic gesture to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu by donating their pens. Their intention is to encourage him to promptly endorse the Anti-Sexual Harassment Bill currently before him,Daily Trust reports.

The students collected pens from different campuses and presented them to the president via his Senior Special Assistant on Students Engagement, Sunday Asefon, in Abuja on Friday. They attributed the shortage of pens as a potential reason for the delay in the bill’s assent.

Abdul Fatima Zara, a student from the University of Abuja, expressed, “The most symbolic tool for students are pens, and that is why we have donated these pens to the president.”
