President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of capable Nigerians to serve on the Governing Council and Management team of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB),leadership reports.
According to a statement released by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale on Thursday, this decision aligns with the provisions outlined in Sections 71(1), 72, and 73 of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act (2010).

The appointed individuals include Senator Heineken Lokpobiri as Chairman/Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Engineer Felix Omatsola Ogbe as Executive Secretary, Oritsemyiwa Eyesan as Member/Executive Vice President Upstream at NNPCL, Gbenga Komolafe as Member/CEO of NUPRC, and others such as Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens, Nicolas Odinuwe, Rapheal Samuel, and Sadiq Abubakar.
Ngelale stated that President Tinubu anticipates this highly qualified team of experts to fulfill their responsibilities in line with his patriotic commitment to significantly boost indigenous industry participation in the energy sector. This aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s mandate to achieve a 70% indigenous content and participation in the nation’s energy industry throughout the duration of this administration.
