The Kaduna State Police command reported that on the previous day, a patrol team assigned to Kagarko division, in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters, responded to a tip-off regarding suspected bandits spotted at a farm near the Dogon Daji community. The suspects appeared to have sinister intentions,leadership reports.
Upon the arrival of the combined security convoy, the criminals swiftly fled on their motorcycles, abandoning their nefarious mission in a desperate attempt to secure their own safety. Following a meticulous search of the area, law enforcement recovered a locally crafted revolver shotgun capable of holding 10 rounds.
Additionally, the command revealed that on September 22, 2023, operatives from the Sabon Gari divisional headquarters in Zaria received a report about a suspicious unregistered black Volkswagen Passat vehicle, flagged by personnel from the Nigerian Customs Service along the Zaria-Kano highway.

The patrol team tailed the mentioned vehicle and confronted its occupants, who identified themselves as Liti Iliya and Garba Luka, hailing from Anguwan Dankande village in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded the following items concealed in the trunk: an AK-47 rifle along with 15 rounds of 7.62 X 39mm live ammunition and a pair of vehicle registration plates bearing the number “HKW 578 AA” from Ebonyi State.
