The council’s agenda included deliberations on the “Roadmap for the economy” presented by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Olawale Edun.
President Tinubu stated his commitment to providing steadfast leadership to prevent failure and facilitate sustainable progress. He outlined his vision for a homegrown financial reengineering, efficient resource management, and an economy that genuinely benefits the Nigerian people. He expressed optimism about achieving these goals and encouraged the ministers to share this optimism, underlining that, in their service dictionary, everything should be deemed possible.

They identified eight priority areas, including economic growth, healthcare, anti-corruption efforts, food security, the rule of law, security, poverty eradication, and job creation, as areas needing immediate attention. President Tinubu charged the ministers to swiftly implement policies and programs to improve the economy and enhance the lives of Nigerians.
Professor Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, stressed the importance of Nigeria’s youthful population and President Tinubu’s vision to harness their human capital. The President gave the ministers a clear mandate to act, focusing on economic growth, prosperity, poverty alleviation, and the well-being of all citizens.
