President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has enjoined the graduating cadets of the 5th Regular Course at the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, to uphold the sacred responsibility placed upon them to ensure robust security across the nation, urging them not to falter in this vital task,Dailytrust report.

This directive was issued during the passing out ceremony of the 169 cadets from the 5th Regular Course at the Nigerian Police Academy (POLAC), situated in Wudil, Kano State. Representing President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima conveyed the message, imploring the cadets to approach their duties with diligence and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of valuing justice over compromise, accountability over corruption, and equity over personal gain.

The president’s representative urged the cadets to remain vigilant, unified, and aligned with the principles that define the police force as a model of integrity and honor. These principles should guide them as they execute their responsibilities.

“We are duty-bound to utilize our capacities to enhance the security of lives, property, and investments, both domestic and foreign. Equally, we must ensure fair treatment and uphold the human rights of all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds. Our conduct must serve as a testament to the highest ethical standards while upholding the rule of law,” he articulated.

President Tinubu affirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to implementing effective strategies to tackle the prevailing security challenges within Nigeria.

Opening the proceedings with a welcome address, the academy’s Commandant, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, called upon the cadets to exemplify the academy and the Nigeria Police Force through their actions, while also stressing the significance of professionalism in their roles.
