Ekaette Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed the sexual harassment allegations made against her husband by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan,Daily Trust reports.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator from Kogi State, accused the Senate President of making unwanted advances and claimed he blocked her motions from being heard in the Senate after she rejected them.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Ekaette Akpabio refuted the claims, describing her husband as a disciplined and jovial man whose actions are often misinterpreted.
“The allegations are baseless. On the alleged date, December 8, 2023, I was at our family residence,” she stated.

She emphasized that both families have shared a cordial relationship long before Akpoti-Uduaghan’s marriage.
“In Akwa Ibom, when he was governor, many women were involved in governance, and none ever made such accusations. My husband is a responsible and disciplined man.
“There is no way a man of his principles would take a woman to his home. He deeply respects me and our children,” she added.
Ekaette Akpabio further cautioned against spreading false allegations and vowed to take legal action over the matter.
