• Engineer Saleh Muhammad Umar, the Mai of Kaltungo and Coordinator of the Northern Traditional Leaders Committee for the Northeast, as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Chiefs, has provided relief materials to victims of the recent flooding in Borno State.
  • The relief items were delivered on behalf of the Kaltungo Emirate to His Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, to assist those affected by the disaster.
  • The donations included 182 blankets, 156 pieces of Atamfa fabric, 50 pieces of Shadda fabric, 5,200 packs of diapers, 60 cups, 24 jerry cans, 24 kettles, 24 basins, and 20 pots (sizes 3 and 5). Additionally, 12 smokeless stoves, 12 sets of mortar and pestle, seven bags of grains (corn and millet), 10 mattresses, three cartons of cornflakes, and other essential items were provided.
  • The Mai of Kaltungo personally handed over the supplies to the Shehu of Borno, who expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the Kaltungo Emirate’s generosity.
  • During the handover at his palace, the Shehu of Borno commended the Kaltungo Emirate for its support, particularly during these difficult economic times. He emphasized that the aid would significantly benefit the people of Borno and extended his heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Borno Emirate. He also prayed for continued unity and cooperation between the Kaltungo and Borno emirates.
