Five Corps members have been awarded business grants totaling over N3.2 million by Mrs. Love Idoko Uloko, founder of Activate Success International Foundation,leadership reports.
A press release by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations at NYSC, Caroline Embu, revealed that the event was held at the National Directorate Headquarters of the scheme in Maitama, Abuja.
The grant recipients are Enwemeka Blessing (FC/24A/5897), Abdumalik Ibrahim (FC/24A/6157), Akande Olaitan Sunday (FC/24B/3856), Blessing Ijeoma Omachi (FC/24B/5031), and Emmanuel Ali (FC/24B/0603). The first three beneficiaries received N750,000 each, while the remaining two received N500,000 each.

Their business ideas span across various industries, including fashion, food and confectioneries, and horticulture.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Yeshua Ahmed, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering Corps Members for self-employment. He emphasized that his five-point policy thrust prioritizes reducing youth unemployment by fostering partnerships with stakeholders willing to support young graduates.
Mrs. Uloko, in her address, stated that the beneficiaries were selected through a rigorous and merit-based process, praising their creativity, resilience, and vision.
“To date, we have supported 53 Corps Members through this initiative. We are investing in dreams, nurturing potential, and sowing seeds of success that will thrive for years to come,” she said.
Highlighting the Foundation’s partnership with NYSC for over seven years, she expressed pride in creating opportunities that equip Corps Members to become self-reliant leaders and contributors to society.
Mrs. Uloko also commended the NYSC Director-General and his management team for their steadfast collaboration and dedication to empowering Nigerian youth.
