Eleven-year-old Margaret Joshua who was allegedly maltreated by her guardian, one Mrs. Nneamaka Nwachukwu has been confirmed dead by health officials in one hospital in Jos, Plateau State.
According to Tudun Wada Broadcast on Facebook, the deceased was brought from Kebbi state to live at Mrs. Nwachukwu house, due to security challenges in Kebbi.
Mrs. Nneamaka Nwachukwu mother of two, and a Microbiologist working with a Research Institute in Vom, Jos South LGA, was fond of assaulting Margaret which has finally resulted to her death.
A source said Mrs. Nwachukwu didn’t enroll Margaret in school.
Margaret Joshua died on Monday in a hospital as a result of recent beating from her madam.
The source also said that the deceased was forced by Mrs. Nwachukwu to sit on a container of hot water, which “burnt her buttocks.”
Mrs. Grace Pam, Coordinator of Plateau State National Human Right told journalists that “…based on the several scars and wounds on Margaret’s body, her guardian must have tortured her many times while she was staying with the family.”
