The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the accreditation of centres for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), marking the initial phase of preparations for the annual examination, leadership reports.
In a statement released on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that all new Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres interested in participating must review the requirements outlined at JAMB’s official website.
Dr. Benjamin advised prospective centres to formally notify the Board of their interest by submitting a written application addressed to the JAMB Registrar through the respective Zonal Director or State Coordinator.
For centres that were accredited and participated successfully in the 2024 UTME without any issues, Dr. Benjamin stated they should register their interest via the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal. New centres will have CMS accounts created for them by JAMB’s Zonal and State Offices to facilitate registration.

“All centres are required to undergo an Autobot/Autotest on a date that will be communicated. This test is mandatory and forms a critical part of preparations for the Board’s physical accreditation visit,” the statement noted.
Only centres that successfully complete the Autobot/Autotest and meet the Board’s criteria will be eligible for the physical accreditation, scheduled for December 2024. Centres failing to achieve satisfactory results will not be reconsidered for accreditation.
“Centres that fulfill all the stipulated requirements will receive approval and be listed for the 2025 UTME registration and examination,” Dr. Benjamin concluded.
